The Korean stumbled upon this page of ROK Drop, which is an excellent blog by a U.S. soldier stationed in Korea. (The Korean swears the stumbling-upon was a total accident. He was not Googling "Korea's Most Beautiful Face".)
One of the commenters of the page linked to a picture of the lovely Kim Hye-soo in the 90s, in a Korean website, touting her natural beauty pre-plastic surgery. The Korean would agree. However, the commenter missed a critically outrageous thing about the picture. The caption for the picture (in Korean) says: "Don't be alarmed... she used to be super fat. [Her current state] must have been a result of an amazing effort." The three commenters on the picture page generally agreed.
Puts things in perspective, doesn't it?
